Kendra Kawai shared an update on the COC Hawaii's upcoming Employment Law Seminar.  "As a current Chamber of Commerce Hawaii Board Member and a long-time member of the SHRM Hawaii Educational Foundation (Oahu) Programs Committee, we would like to remind you to register for this year’s Chamber of Commerce Hawaii’s 27th Annual Employment Law Seminar to be held on Friday, September 11, 2020.  Although we had to make this year’s seminar completely virtual, this all-day seminar will be jam-packed with information for employers.  Panels will discuss ongoing issues employers are facing with the COVID-19 pandemic, new types of legal claims that may arise due to the pandemic, recent employment law developments, and immigration-related compliance issues arising during a global pandemic.  As part of your registration fee, you will also receive our special COVID-19 edition of the Chamber Desk Manual that contains a newly-added chapter dedicated to COVID-19 issues, and you will be eligible to receive Professional Development Credits for SHRM-CP® and/or HRCI®.  The Chamber recognizes the difficult times that employers are facing during this pandemic and is offering a low Chamber/SHRM registration fee of $150.00 through August 31, 2020, and $175 from September 1-10, 2020.
