On October 29,2020, Governor Ige signed a proclamation making November 20th “Human Resources Professionals Day” in Hawaii.  By acknowledging the Human Resources Profession, the proclamation gives tribute to all the hard work and dedication that you do every day.

SHRM Hawaii wants to acknowledge all of you for your passion, hard work and dedication to the Human Resources Profession.  Over the last 8 months, we have had to adjust, recreate, and learn how to work in a COVID-19 world while continuing to support our employees and businesses.  Although this has been a challenge that none of us could have seen, we continue to make strides in making sure that we continue to hire, train, and support all our employees.

SHRM Hawaii continues to be a resource for support and continuing education to assist every Human Resource Professional to develop in their career.  We are expected to have many different skill sets that include having a role in leadership, being able to negotiate policies and being a business partner within our organization.

So, with all that you have done, continue to do and will do, SHRM Hawaii wants to say “Mahalo”.  You are the foundation that businesses built upon and although challenges will come, we will overcome

Please take a moment to reach out today to another Human Resources Professional and say, “Mahalo for what you do – you are appreciated”.

Happy Human Resources Professional Day
