SHRM-Hawaii’s HR Executive Leadership (HRELP) Launches!
On Thursday, January 14, 2021, over 100 HR professionals participated in a one-hour webinar to learn more about the upcoming HR Executive Leadership Program (HRELP). Potential participants were informed about the history and purpose of this program which was research-based and designed after interviewing top CEO’s and C-suite Level HR Professionals. During these sessions, the need for the HRELP was affirmed, and competencies were identified that were important for HR professionals to possess when ascending to top HR positions in a company.
With the research in hand, SHRM Hawaii partnered with three well-known facilitators and executive coaches, who not only have a track record of success in coaching c-Suite level executives but also understand our “Glocal” needs. Our facilitators possess a global perspective within our local Hawaii context. As successful business owners and coaches, what makes them unique is their core experience was founded in Human Resources which allows them to connect with the needs of our participants on a deeper level. Together, Dr. Patrick Powaser, Dr. Charletta Wilson, and Master’s Coach Wendy Nakamura will bring a new design of thought leadership in excelling our State’s HR executive development efforts.
With only 16 seats available in this inaugural cohort, we encourage interested candidates to apply as soon as possible. Applications will be evaluated through a formal selection committee. If you are willing to perfect your craft, invest time in yourself, and increase your ability to step into the C-Suite role, this program was designed for that purpose.
